Current Outreach Trainers are encouraged to expand their outreach by training to become a Disaster Site Worker Outreach Trainer. If you meet the *prerequisites (see below), register today for OSHA 5600-Disaster Site Worker Trainer Course. This 4-day course prepares experienced Outreach Trainers to present OSHA 7.5-hr and 15-hr Disaster Site Worker Courses, intended for second responders (those arriving hours or days after the event). Students are provided the opportunity to practice knowledge and skills through discussion, planned exercises, demonstrations and presentations.
- OSHA #500 Trainer Course for the Construction Industry OR OSHA #501 Trainer Course for General Industry
- A minimum of three (3) years safety training experience
- Completion of the 40-hour HAZWOPER training within the past five (5) years, OR the 8-hour HAZWOPER Refresher within the past 12 months OR possession of journey-level credentials in a building trade union.
