Course Delivery Options

The OSHA Training Institute Education Center at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District offers safety courses in a variety of formats, including: 

In-Person Courses

We are proud to offer traditional in-person*, classroom training at our campuses and host sites.  Availability and class sizes will vary according to the COVID-19 restrictions/requirements at each location. Remember, we can also bring these courses to you, at the location of your choosing.

*Please note that strict safety and health protocols must be followed when attending any in-person class. Anyone not willing to follow these rules will be immediately asked to leave the premises.  

Zoom – Virtual Instructor-Led Training (VILT) Courses

Our virtual instructor-led training (VILT) courses are conducted online in a live-video delivery format. Attendance and active participation at all class sessions is required. See class schedule here.

In addition, you will need the following:

  • An internet connection: broadband wired or wireless (3G or 4G/LTE)
  • Personal computer, laptop, or iPad tablet (recommended). iPhone will work but is not recommended for extended periods of time.
  • Speakers and a microphone: built-in, USB plug-in, or wireless Bluetooth
  • A standard webcam or HD webcam: built-in or USB plug-in 

Hybrid Courses

Hybrid courses are a combination of virtual instructor-led training (VILT) using Zoom and in-person* training. Students will be required to arrive at the determined classroom/facility location to participate in the in-person portion of the class to successfully complete the class.

Online Training

We offer traditional online training through AdvanceOnline Solutions. Topics include the OSHA 10-hour Construction and General Industry, and the 30-hour OSHA Construction classes as well multiple workplace safety awareness, driver safety and transportation hazardous materials awareness topics.
