Fire safety becomes everyone’s job at work. Employers should train workers about fire hazards and what to do in a fire emergency. A Fire Plan should outline assignments of key personnel during a fire, provide an evacuation plan for workers on the site, and be set up prior to beginning demolition jobs in the construction industry. The National Fire Prevention Association (NFPA) is sponsoring Fire Prevention Week October 3-9, 2021. This year’s campaign, “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety!” works to educate everyone about the different sounds the smoke and carbon monoxide alarms make.
