Research has shown that workers who are new on the job have a higher rate of injuries and illnesses than more experienced workers. While training for all workers should be an essential part of every employer’s safety and health program, it is especially important that new and entry level workers receive training in hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention to reduce the risk of workplace injuries and illnesses.
The OSHA Training Institute Education Center is offering OTC 110-OSHA 30 Hour Outreach Training for General Industry in Dublin, California, on August 28-31, 2018. This interactive training is intended for entry level workers as an orientation and covers safety and health hazards workers may face at general industry work sites. The course emphasizes hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention.
