Several safety organizations, including NIOSH, ASSP and the NSC, are sponsoring a Teen Safe Summer Job Social Media Campaign to increase awareness and promote workplace safety and health resources for teen workers. The 2020 theme is “Keeping teen workers safe is everyone’s job!”
The Keep Teen Workers Safe website features many resources for educators who are currently engaging with students and their parents remotely due to COVID-19, including training materials and information from OSHA, NIOSH, Department of Labor, National Safety Council, Young Workers.org, CPWR and CareerSafe. There is also a short video from OSHA regarding Young Workers’ Rights.
The educational resources and other materials at the Keep Teen Workers Safe website are designed to help teen workers learn more about staying safe on the job when they return to work.
