The OSHA Training Center at Chabot-Las Positas Community College District has formed a partnership with the Pacific Education Center (PEC) to provide OSHA standards based safety and health training throughout Hawaii and the Pacific Rim.  The mission of the Pacific Education Center (PEC) is to provide high quality, cost-effective occupational safety and health training to help employers build and maintain an effective safety culture among their employees as well as a protective and compliant workplace.

The collaboration of the OSHA Training Center and the Pacific Education Center ensures that important OSHA safety standards courses are made available to employers and employees in Hawaii and Guam.  Courses are taught by highly knowledgeable and experienced subject matter experts from a wide range of backgrounds and industries, including past Federal OSHA Inspectors and Hawaii Occupational Safety and Health Department Compliance Managers.

As part of their mission the PEC honors the service of our Veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces by providing OSHA courses free of charge to Hawaii and Guam Veterans who are unemployed and cannot afford to pay for training.

The OSHA Training Center’s partnership with the Pacific Education Center is part of an ongoing initiative to make OSHA standards based safety and health training available to as many employers and workers as possible to promote safe and healthy workplaces.
