The OSHA Training Center is partnering with Federal OSHA, the National Safety Council (NSC), the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA), the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE) and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) to announce its inaugural Safe + Sound Week.  Scheduled for June 12-18, 2017, this event is a nationwide effort to raise awareness of the value of workplace safety and health programs which can help employers and workers identify and manage workplace hazards before they cause injury or illness.

Throughout Safe + Sound Week, organizations are encouraged to host events and activities that showcase the core elements of an effective safety and health program — management leadership and worker participation to find and fix workplace hazards.  Organizations of any size or in any industry looking for an opportunity to demonstrate their safety commitment to workers, customers, the public or supply chain partners should participate.

Successful safety and health programs can proactively identify and manage workplace hazards before they cause injury or illness, improving sustainability and the bottom line.  Participating in Safe + Sound Week can help organizations get their safety and health programs started or energize existing programs.

To commemorate Safe + Sound Week the OSHA Training Center is offering OSHA 7205 – Health Hazard Awareness, at the special price of $99, in Dublin, California, on June 15, 2017.

Visit OSHA’s Safe + Sound Week webpage to learn more about how your organization can participate.
