National Work Zone Awareness Week is an annual spring campaign held at the start of construction season to encourage safe driving through highway work zones. The key message is for drivers to use extra caution in work zones.

Go Orange Day is observed in conjunction with National Work Zone Awareness Week on April 11, 2018. All roadway safety professionals across the country are encouraged to wear orange to proudly show their support of work zone safety.

National Work Zone Awareness Week is sponsored by the American Traffic Safety Services Association, an international trade association that represents the road safety, traffic safety and highway safety industry with effective legislative advocacy, traffic control safety training and a far-reaching member partnership.
