The Fatality Mapping Project is raising awareness of the number of lives lost each year in construction.  The maps include information from ongoing OSHA investigations and online media sources.  Although the maps do not capture all work-related construction fatalities, they do portray a substantial number of fatal injuries, illustrating the need for improved health and safety in the construction industry.  This project is one of many research programs conducted by the Center for Construction Research and Training (CPWR).

Visit the 2016 Construction Fatality Maps webpage, where you can interact with the maps to learn more about fatalities in the construction industry.

The Center for Construction Research and Training (CPWR) serves as the National Construction Center for the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and through a NIOSH cooperative agreement conducts safety research on the construction industry.
