Matt Kerr

With over 30 years of experience in the safety, health, and environmental fields, Matt has developed, delivered, and managed environmental, occupational health, and occupational safety education and training programs and safety and health plans/programs for organizations in both the public and private sectors.

Matt’s career has included 10 years in Fire/Rescue/HazMat, 10 years of hazardous materials/waste management/emergency response/site remediation, 20 years in volunteer search and rescue, and 23 years as lead consultant/instructor and principal of a training and consulting company.

Matt holds several professional certifications and designations including: the Certified Environmental, Safety, and Health Trainer (CET); the Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST); the dual certification Certified Safety & Health Official - Construction and General Industry; the Specialist in Safety and Health in Disaster Response; the Construction Authorized Outreach Instructor; the General Industry Authorized Outreach Instructor; the Disaster Site Worker Authorized Outreach Instructor; the Cal-OSHA General Industry Authorized Outreach Instructor; the Medic First Aid AED, CPR, and First Aid Instructor and Instructor trainer; and the American Heart Association Basic Life Support, Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor.
